Tinnitus App by Cleanhearing is intended to alleviate tinnitus symptoms through the customization of downloaded music files to match the user's specific tinnitus frequency. Tinnitus often stems from abnormal neural activity in certain brain regions, and studies have indicated that listening to notched music can help regulate this hyperactivity, reducing tinnitus-related distress.

Users can determine or input their tinnitus frequency using the frequency calculator within the app, and securely store it for future use. Subsequently, the app adjusts or 'notches' out this frequency from downloaded music files (excluding those from streaming services) housed in the user's app library.

For optimal results, users are encouraged to dedicate approximately two hours per day to listening to notched music tracks. Additionally, the app provides access to a selection of calming music pieces and sound masking options tailored for tinnitus relief.

The Tinnitus App by Cleanhearing can function as a standalone notched music application or be combined with the Cleanhearing Sono medical device for a comprehensive two-pronged approach to tinnitus therapy.
